Soft Walls is a group of freelance designers working together. The purpose of our exhibitions is to inspire new areas of use with textile materials and to show that textiles can be used in an architectural manner.
Apart from their purely aesthetic qualities, textiles also can dampen noise, keep out strong sunshine, filter impressions and reflect light.
Hard floors and large areas of glass often make the working climate intolerable; sound bounces back and forth and conversation becomes practically impossible. Soft materials make meetings between people and spaces more human. We aim to challenge traditional furnishing concepts by introducing novel spatial solutions comprising familiar materials such as wool and cotton alongside more technical fabrics that combine durability with high resistance to fire.
